Biography
Dr. White graduated AOA from Case Western Reserve Medical School in Cleveland, Ohio in 1978 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology in San Francisco at Letterman Army Medical Center, from 1978 thru 1983. He then joined the Staff of Letterman Army Medical Center in 1983 and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1985. In 1988, he became Director of the Catheterization Laboratory at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, LA. He moved to Glasgow, Scotland as the Director of Invasive Cardiology for HCI Medical Center in 1994, and then returned to Ochsner as Chairman of the Department of Cardiology in 1997. He has received teacher of the year awards at Letterman and at Ochsner. He is a Past-President of SCAI. Dr. White served as Editor-in-Chief of Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions. He has published more than 300 manuscripts. Dr. White was named a Master Interventionalist (MSCAI) in 2014. He was honored in 2015 as the Physician Executive Leader of the Year at Ochsner.
