Track 1: Primary Healthcare

Primary Healthcare is the extremely important first care that is based on scientifically well-done and universally acceptable methods and technology, which make health care easy to get to people and families in a community. The International Classification of Primary Care (ICPC) is a standardized tool for understanding and analysing information on interventions in primary care by the reason for the patient visit. Common long-lasting sicknesses usually treated in primary care may include high blood pressure, pain, Diabetes, breathing disease, COPD, depression and fear and stress, back pain, painful joint swelling or thyroid dysfunction. Driven by population magnification and aging, the total number of office visits to primary care medicos is projected to increment from 462 million in 2008 to 565 million in 2025. Primary care also includes many basic mother-based and child health care services, such as family planning services and vaccinations.

Comprehensive Primary care is an approach to health care that highlights social justice, equity, community control and social change.  Integration of PHC services seen as a pivotal strategy towards the achievement of the national goals of transformation of health services, and the attainment of a comprehensive and seamless public health system. Primary care involves the widest scope of health care, including all ages of patients, patients of all socio economic and geographic origins, patients seeking to maintain optimal health, and patients with all manner of acute and chronic physical, mental and social health issues, including multiple chronic diseases. The ultimate goal of Primary Healthcare is better health for all.

Track 2:  Primary Care Medicine

Primary Care Medicines are those that satisfy the primary health care needs of the population. They are selected with due regard to public health relevance, evidence on efficacy and safety, and comparative cost-effectiveness. Primary Care Nursing is a system of nursing care delivery which emphasizes continuity of care and responsibility acceptance by having one registered nurse (RN), often teamed with a licensed practical nurse (LPN) and/or nursing assistant (NA), who together provide complete care for a group of patients throughout their stay in a hospital unit or department. Primary Healthcare nurses adopt the definition of health in the Declaration of Alma-Ata that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Primary health care nurses have professional, legal and ethical responsibilities which require demonstration of a satisfactory knowledge base, accountability for practice, functioning in accordance with legislation affecting nursing and health care, and the protection of individual and group rights. The highly skilled cardiologist Surgeons of Primary Health offer a comprehensive approach to cardiovascular care, including an array of treatments for coronary artery disease, heart attack, high blood pressure, angina and all other conditions related to the heart and vascular system. Physical Therapy Specialists provide primary health care expertise in health promotion, prevention and screening, triaging, and treating various conditions. Primary care providers play an important role in caring for cancer and Metastasis. Capital Intensity in the Nursing Care Facilities industry is low. The industry requires relatively high amounts of labour input and only moderate levels of capital input. For every $1.00 spent on labour, only $0.06 is spent on capital equipment. This figure has remained relatively unchanged over the past five years. Total labour costs represent about 41.9% of industry revenue. Significant levels of personal and nursing care are provided to patients.

Track 3:   Quality in Primary Care

Primary Care quality refers to a Level of value of any health care resources as resolute by some quantification. The goal of health care is to provide medical resources of high quality to all who need them. Researchers utilize many different measures to endeavour to determine health care quality, including counts of a therapy's reduction or lessening of diseases identified by medical diagnosis, a decrementation in the number of peril factors which people have following preventive care, or a survey of health designators in a population who are accessing certain kinds of care

Engaging primary care practices in Quality Improvement(QI) activities is essential to achieving the triple aim of ameliorating the health of the population, enhancing patient experiences and outcomes, and reducing the per capita cost of care, and to ameliorating provider experience. Primary care practices with a vigorous QI orientation continually seek to ameliorate their own performance and the outcomes of their patients. Primary care is the cornerstone of health care that is efficacious and efficient and meets the desiderata of patients, families, and communities.

Track 6Primary Care Paediatrics

Paediatrics deals with the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents, and the age limit usually ranges from birth up to 18 years of age. A medical specialist who practices in this area is known as a paediatrician who is specialized in Child Healthcare. The word paediatrics mean "healer of children"; they derive from two Greek words. Paediatricians work both in hospitals, particularly those working in its specialized subfields such as neonatology, and as primary care physicians who specialize in children. In medical contexts, new-born refers to an infant in the first 28 days after birth; the term applies to premature infants, post mature infants, and full term infants. Before birth, the term foetus is used. Breastfeeding is the recommended method of feeding by all major infant health organizations. Neonatology is a subspecialty of paediatrics that consists of the medical care of new-born infants, especially the ill or premature newborn infant. The principal patients of neonatologists are new-born infants who are ill or requiring special medical care (Pediatric Mental Health Assessment) due to prematurity, low birth weight, intrauterine growth retardation, congenital malformations, sepsis, and pulmonary hyperplasia or birth asphyxias. Pregnant women are advised to pay attention to the foods they eat during pregnancy, such as soft cheese and certain fish, in order to reduce the risk of exposure to substances or bacteria that may be harmful to the Child health. This can include food pathogens and toxic food components, alcohol, and dietary supplements such as vitamin A and potentially harmful pathogens such as listeria, toxoplasmosis, and salmonella.

Major causes of childhood mortality have occurred in many low middle income class (LMICs), including 106 countries with accelerated declines in childhood mortality from 1990 to 2011; 80% of this decline was due to reductions in death from infectious causes. A large, and growing, proportion of global childhood mortality is therefore due to non-communicable disease. Indeed, 6.0% and 18.6% of deaths among children ages 5 to 14 years in lower- and upper-middle-income countries (MICs), respectively, are due to cancer.

Track 7: Dental Primary Care

Dental care is the Oral hygiene, the practice of keeping the mouth and teeth clean in order to dental disorders. Family physicians commonly encounter patients with dental infections, such as dental caries and periodontal disease. Dental caries is caused by bacteria that destroy the enamel and dentin; it can be detected by an oral examination that shows stained pits or fissures on the tooth surface. Use of fluoride is the most effective prevention measure for dental plaque. Untreated caries may progress to pulpitis and, eventually, to necrosis of the pulp. In irreversible pulpitis, the tooth dies and the patient may have a localized abscess that can spread to surrounding tissue. Family physicians are in a good position to address this morbidity. They can recognize common dental infections and, in some circumstances, may initiate treatment of serious infections before referral. Family physicians can also advise patients on how to prevent dental infections and provide proper dental medicine.

Track 13:  Primary Care Epidemiology

Primary care epidemiology can add to more extensive changes in health and healthcare services, through better comprehension of disease aetiology, use of healthcare services and the role of different healthcare interventions. Primary care is conveyed by an extensive range of health professionals, nurses, doctors, care assistants, mental health specialists, dieticians, pharmacists, dentists, optometrists and other health care professionals. Emerging Infectious Diseases are a proceeding danger everyone. Some diseases have been viably controlled with the help of modern technology. Yet new diseases—such as SARS and West Nile virus infection are constantly appearing. Others, such as malariatuberculosis, and bacterial pneumonias, are now appearing in forms that are resistant to drug treatments. Age-related physiological impairment and disease are known to be subject to environmental influences, and there is increasing evidence that they have a significant genetic component. The cardiovascular epigenetics has seen extraordinary improvement over the last few decades, with animal models suggesting key roles for a limited number of metabolic pathways. Thus, the health of urban populations has changed as cities have evolved. Why Dubai?

Dubai is located on the Eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, in the south west corner of the Arabian Gulf. It is extremely well known for its warm hospitality and rich cultural heritage, and the Emirati people are welcoming and generous in their approach to visitors. With year-round sunshine, intriguing deserts, beautiful beaches, luxurious hotels and shopping malls, fascinating heritage attractions and a thriving business community, Dubai receives millions of leisure and business visitors each year from around the world. Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates, located within the emirate. It has the largest population in the UAE (2,262,000) and the second-largest land territory by area (1,588.4 square miles) after Abu Dhabi. It is one of the few cities in the world that has undergone such a rapid transformation - from a humble beginning as a pearl diving centre - to one of the fastest growing cities on Earth. Dubai today is a tourism, trade and logistics hub and has earned itself the reputation of being the ‘gateway between the east and the west’. It is also considered as the dynamic nucleus of the Arabian Gulf region.

Dubai is one of the leading tourist destinations in the world. Modern sky-scrapers, magnificent architectural buildings, luxurious hotels, and shopping malls invite a million of tourists to the city. Palm Islands, Jumeirah Beach, the Dragon Mart, Dubai Museum, Burj al Arab, and Burj Khalifa are some of the major attractions. The Burj Al Arab is a magnificent hotel built on an artificial island; it stands at a height of 280 meters. Dubai boasts of having the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa at a height of 829.84 meters.

Members Associated with Primary Healthcare:

Important pressures are the integration of Community Care and Primary Care or in other words the connection between Public Health and care for the individual. The difficulty for local authorities is to adapt their care system to the increased needs of the individuals living within their neighbourhoods. These needs have not only increased in volume but also in complexity. An adequate monitoring system for these local authorities, providing insight of the needs in terms of prevention and health  promotion, reactive care including emergencies, continuity of care, dealing with chronically ill mainly in the context of home care is crucial and creating equitable financing which take into account the differences between affluent and other parts within the city are needed. Local governments need information, assistance and capacity building on how to achieve practical solutions for these major challenges which lay ahead and will become more visible in the coming decades. The Community Oriented & Integrated Primary Care approach is a model that fits very well to tackle most of the challenges. Moreover, addressing health problems requires an intersectoral approach at the local level, integrating health and welfare sectors with housing, work, education, and infrastructure.

Target Audience:

Leading world Doctors, Registered nurses, Professors, Directors, Dieticians, Research fellows and many more from leading universities, companies and medical research institutions, hospitals sharing their novel researches in the arena of Healthcare & Medicine.

Market value, Growth &Source of Funds

A growing market segment is demanding unscheduled access to primary healthcare services without consideration of health system or pre-existing clinician relationship. This population segment has given rise to a new set of "on demand" primary healthcare delivery channels. These on demand delivery channels have strong growth projections (ranging from 6.5 to 34 percent annually) over the next several years creating an opportunity or threat for the traditional primary care providers and the health systems.

As per estimates, the healthcare market is projected to grow at 12.0% p.a. to US$ 69.4 billion by 2018 from an estimated US$ 39.4 billion in 2013. Outpatient and inpatient markets are expected to account for 79% and 21%, respectively, of the overall market size. Saudi Arabia is projected to remain the largest GCC market. Qatar and UAE are expected to be the fastest growing markets; going forward. The demand for number of hospital beds is expected to be 115,544 in 2018, an addition of 11,241 beds from 2013, which is in line with the expected supply looking at the number of projects in the pipeline.

The IMF estimates that the region‘s population would cross the 50 million mark by 2020, providing impetus to the consumption of healthcare services. Rising income levels and sedentary lifestyles have led to a higher prevalence of obesity and diabetes leading to a demand for specialized healthcare services. GCC population in the age group of 65 and above is expected to surge from 1.2 million in 2015 to 14.2 million in 2050, driving demand for healthcare services. Also, infant mortality in the GCC improved from 110 per 10,000 live births in 2000 to 78 in 2012.

While growth in the region‘s insurance premium outpaces the growth in the global market, the insurance penetration remains one of the lowest in the world.
